Observe an abundance of marine life and shore birds as we explore the tidal marshes along Sinepuxent Bay's western shoreline. Along the edge of the sea grass you will likely see Maryland blue crabs, terrapin, snapping turtles, fiddler crabs, mullet and mussels. You will also see an abundance of waterfowl such as osprey, green heron, great blue heron, snowy egret, great egret, willet and plovers. Learn about the ecology, history, and wildlife of the bay as you enjoy this smooth water paddle through one of Ocean City's most valuable resources. Follow up your tour with a hands on look at the small fish, grass shrimp, crabs, and other marine critters as you help pull a 20 foot seining net through the shallow waters of the bay.
Departs at 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM, other times by appointment.
Tour lasts approximately 1.5 hours. Reservations required.
Appropriate for all levels including first time paddlers.
